The Sponsor Body (archive)

The Sponsor Body was abolished on January 1st 2023 and replaced with a new governance structure. For more information, visit UK Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme Board and Restoration and Renewal Client Board.

Following changes to our governance structure in January 2023, all quarterly reports and annual reports and are published on UK Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme Board.

Annual Estimates

In April 2020, the Commissions of both Houses agreed funding for the R&R Programme for April to June 2020 of £27.5m, which was laid before the House of Commons on 4 May 2020 as the initial Annual Estimate for 2020-21.

In June 2020, the Commissions of both Houses agreed funding for the R&R Programme for July 2020 to March 2021 of £98.7m.This funding was provided through a Supplementary Estimate for 2020-21, which was laid before the House of Commons in February 2021, alongside the Vote on Account for 2021-22.

Since 2021-22 the Estimates for the Restoration and Renewal Sponsor Body have been scrutinised and laid in the House of Commons by the Parliamentary Works Estimates Commission. The Estimates can be located on the Estimates Commission’s website.

Code of Conduct

The Parliamentary Buildings (Restoration and Renewal) Act 2019 requires the R&R Sponsor Body to issue a Code of Conduct, which was adopted by the Sponsor Body Board on 8 April 2020.

Register of Interests

The R&R Sponsor Body's Code of Conduct requires Sponsor Body Board members to record their interests in a Register of Interests.
