Vanessa Howlison appointed as Non-Executive Director of the Restoration and Renewal Delivery Authority Board

The Restoration and Renewal Delivery Authority is pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa Howlison as a Non-Executive Director to its Board, following Anne Baldock standing down earlier this year.

Vanessa brings extensive financial leadership experience from senior roles in infrastructure-focused organisations, including as Chief Finance Officer at National Highways, the Department for Transport, and the Department of Energy and Climate Change. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at the Port of London Authority, where she chairs the Audit and Risk Committee, and is also an independent member at Oxford University. Vanessa has a strong interest in sustainability and holds an MSc in Carbon Management from Edinburgh University.

Of the appointment, Chair of the Board Dr Simon Thurley CBE said:

“We are delighted to welcome Vanessa to the Board. Her deep expertise in public sector finance, infrastructure, and sustainability will be a tremendous asset to our strategic decision-making and governance. I look forward to working with her.”

The Restoration and Renewal Delivery Authority would also like to thank Anne Baldock for her significant contributions during her tenure on the Board, including her leadership as Chair of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
