Dr Simon Thurley is a well-known historian and academic who has published many books on architectural history and heritage. Between 2002 and 2015 he was chief executive of English Heritage and before that, for five years, was director of the Museum of London.

Anne Baldock
Anne Baldock is currently non-executive Director for East West Railways among others. She was also a non-executive director at Thames Tideway and was partner at international law firm Allen & Overy LLP, where she was global head of the Projects, Energy and Infrastructure practice.

Susan Cooklin
Susan has over ten years’ experience at board level and currently holds independent non-executive directorships on the boards of Electricity North West Ltd (a UK-distributed network operator), NetCompany (a Danish-listed IT services company), and NorteGas ES. Susan was Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Network Rail for 6 years and became part of the executive committee in 2016, leading a directorate of circa 6000 employees. Susan owned the enterprise-wide risk for cyber while at Network Rail.

Barry O'Driscoll
Barry is a Chartered Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the management, design and construction of major infrastructure projects. A former Director at WSP and advisor to Transport for London, he currently holds advisory posts with the Irish Government, the Isle of Man Government, and National Highways across a portfolio of multi-sector major projects. Barry is a Fellow of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Highways and Transportation.

Manish Chande
Manish is a chartered accountant and chartered surveyor with a career spanning private equity, property development, and public service. He is co-founder and senior partner of private equity fund Clearbell Capital, focused on a diverse range of investments, but with a focus on the retrofit of listed buildings and complex planning negotiations. His property experience includes the transformation of St George’s Hospital into the Lanesborough Hotel, the refurbishment of BBC’s Portland Place headquarters while broadcasting continued, and current retrofit projects at The Sloane Club and The London Clinic, where he is a trustee. Manish has held board roles with English Heritage, the Canal & River Trust, and Land Securities, and has chaired or served on boards across the public and private sectors, including National Car Parks and The London Clinic.

Tom Sleigh
Tom is an experienced leader in public affairs, property, and cultural governance. He currently serves as an independent councillor for the City of London, where he Chairs the Planning and Transportation Committee, the City’s planning authority. He has previously chaired the Property Investment Board and spent a decade at the Barbican Centre, including four years as Chair, where he led a full site review and procurement of a design team, and secured £194 million in public funding for the Barbican Renewal project. He has also contributed to the Fleet Street justice quarter programme. Tom previously held senior roles at the Lloyds Banking Group and Amazon, where he advised on public sector procurement and governance. He has contributed to Cabinet Office work on reforming public procurement.

Russ MacMillan, CEO
Russ has a 24-year track record of delivery leading some of the most challenging programmes within the defence and transport sectors. Most of Russ’ previous roles were within delivery agencies, but he’s also held senior positions in central Government and founded a successful technology start-up following completion of his MBA. Russ is a Chartered Engineer, and his expertise spans operational, project management, commercial and financial disciplines, with leadership roles in organisations ranging from the Submarine Delivery Agency to the Department for Transport.

Matthew White, Programme Director
Matthew White was previously Surface Director at Crossrail Ltd responsible for leading the multi-billion pound programme to enhance the existing railway network. He has prior experience running major projects in the petro-chemical, high-speed rail and aviation sectors. Matthew is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
