Nationwide benefits

The long-term investment will support jobs and involve businesses across the UK. Dozens of companies are already involved, carrying out building surveys and planning.

Beyond the benefits of restoring the Palace, the R&R Programme will:

  • Support between 1,500 and 4,000 jobs per year over the lifetime of construction
  • Aim to provide 1,000 apprenticeships and traineeships for people across the UK
  • Boost specialist skills
  • Revitalise traditional crafts and specialist trades.

Over 100 organisations, businesses, and training providers have already been engaged with on how R&R can provide opportunities across all nations and regions of the UK.
